go to download.com and look for “parental filters”
most aren’t free, but there are some free ones too I believe.
An easier way would be to cut her internet acces from within the router’s webinterface after bedtime. (it takes 1 min)

You must do something, because she could be getting involved with dangerous people out there who are not who she thinks they are. You could make only one password protected account in the computer and you can be the only that know that password, so you can control how much time she can use it.

This is an increasing and serious problem. The social ramifications are unbelievable. Just look at the shocking spelling and grammar (excluding that of our non English speaking friends) that consists of stuff like “Plz wil u help.
I’m not a parent so here’s just another opinion.
If there was software available, the kids would be working on ways around it right now. Tomorrow it would be useless. Someone on these answers will give you help with tracking software that will tell you how, why and when, but I don’t know of any time clock. In business, I always rewarded staff for good behaviour rather than reward everyone. Thus my suggestion is to reward your daughter by adding an extra few dollars to her allowance if quotas are met. This doesn’t remove the allowance or create penalties for bad behaviour, but pays a bonus for good behaviour. Strict control of the reward system could include banking the money towards a new car and showing the results on a graph in her bedroom. She could then show the graph to her friends and reverse the direction of the peer group pressure. Good luck. I feel your concern!
Edit: Have a look at this. It may help if you want to take the firm approach: http://www.blumentals.net/inetprot/
It’s an interesting timer.

At a certain time lock the computer down with a code. That way she wont be able to get on until you unlock the code the next morning or whenever you feel necessary. If you have Windows XP. Go to the control panel, then to user accounts and add a password to it.This should do the trick for ya. Good Luck.
